Tekko Artist Alley

The application was open/became public on November 11th, 2023 at 11am EST. The application was closed when we were deemed full. We are not accepting any late entries.

General Artist Alley Information
o Starting for Tekko 2023, our application is being hosted on Eventeny.com (search event keyword Tekko to find all current applications and badges for the convention if applicable).
o Applications open and close the same afternoon due to the number of applications we receive yearly. We do not accept late entries. We reserve the right to deny any waitlist inquiry after the application closes at any time.
o Applications are vetted via jury, not on a first come first serve basis. If you previously vended with Tekko, you are not guaranteed acceptance into the next event. Artists and Vendors cannot apply for both halls to increase your chances of getting into the con. You must pick one or the other for the year you wish to apply for.
o Acceptable websites to link as your portfolio on your application can include but is not limited to: Facebook business pages, public Instagram accounts, Deviantart, Etsy/Shopify/Storenvy storefronts, your own created website (via Wix, etc). All of these websites must NOT be password-locked/blocked and can be easily accessed at any time as we check portfolios multiple times a year. If we cannot access it by normal means, you will be rejected. If you do not give the full url to your portfolio (aka Instagram.com/myAAPortfolioRockz ) and only use the @ handle (@myAAPortfolioRockz), you will be rejected. Please use a Carrd or similar website if you need to use multiple websites.
o Unacceptable websites for your portfolios can include but is not limited to: Twitter/X, Threads, Tiktok, LinkedIn, Youtube/video hosting websites, Google Docs, Patreon, Kofi.
o Do not submit multiple applications as a means to give yourself “a better chance at getting in the con”. You will be rejected for this. If you believe you made a mistake on your application and need to fix it, please reach out to the Artist Alley Supervisor via email and we will proceed from there.
o 1 table is $225, 2 tables are $450, plus taxes and fees. Each individual application (regardless of how many tables are purchased) comes with 1 General Admission badge included in the cost, to be registered to the Artist that purchased the tables. Artists that wish to utilize the Loading Dock will opt in for usage and pay a $25 fee at a later time (you will not be charged for this upon purchasing your tables).
o Artists may request to tableshare with another studio that is on Tekko’s waitlist at a later date. We are no longer allowing Secondary Artists that did not formally apply. All Artists are held to the same standard to follow all rules in place.
o We do not allow Proxy Selling under any capacity. Proxy Selling is defined as a person/Artist who sells items on the behalf of another Artist not in attendance at Tekko, claiming the items to be their own. There are no exceptions to this, do not ask.
o Members of Tekko/PittJCS staff, convention center staff, and those selling in the Vendors Hall are ineligible to apply for and sell in Artist Alley. Guests of Honor will be permitted on a case by case basis, at the discretion of the Board of Directors only.
By submitting your application, you agree to follow all rules and regulations set forth by Tekko/PittJCS for its Artist Alley and overall convention. We reserve the right to make changes to rules at anytime. Those that break any number of rules are subjected to dismissal from the convention without refund.

We reserve the right to make changes to these rules in this Google Doc without notice, so check back as needed! Information that is specific to the participating Artists (such as set-up procedures, forms needing to be filled out) are withheld in this public Google Doc.
Artists that are formally accepted and paid for their tablespaces will receive communication via email of all communications and any changes leading up to the convention.
Table Refund and No Show Policy
Artists may opt out of their applications once its been submitted at any time, whether they were waitlisted or accepted (but did not pay yet).
All Artists are required to arrive to the convention on Friday by 5pm EST. Guests of Honor are given time extensions based on their contracts. If there are any emergencies that will cause you to be late (including but not limited to transportation cancellations/delays), you MUST notify the Artist Alley Supervisor ASAP. Failure to communicate these issues will result in your dismissal from the convention without a refund, with your next application subjected to be rejected. Please make proper arrangements to arrive on time.
If you find you are unable to attend Tekko after you fully paid for your tablespace, you may request a refund. You cannot forfeit the space to another Artist/Studio under any circumstance. The tablespace will be offered to those on the official waitlist until it is filled. If you try circumventing this, both parties will be blacklisted for future conventions.
For Tekko 2023 and beyond, we are not longer offering Rollovers for tablespaces. If you wish to attend the next convention, you will need to formally apply when applications are available.
For Tekko 2023 and beyond, refund amounts begin at 75% refunded, 50% refunded, 25% refunded, then no refund. The refund amount is contingent to when the table was paid for and when the request was made via email, in comparison to the convention dates. No refunds will be granted 30 calendar days to the Thursday of Tekko. This is non-negotiable. Badges purchased for Assistants are not eligible for refunds per our policies on our Registration page.
“No Show Tables” are unclaimed tables from artists that failed to arrive to the convention by Friday at 5pm EST. If available, these tables will be sold on a first come first serve basis on Saturday morning at the Artist Alley check in table in the Registration Hall. We do not “hold” spots or have a separate waitlist for these tables. The interested Artist must be able to provide a portfolio and photo ID in person. If you cannot show a portfolio or ID, you will be turned away. Once approved, the Artist will pay cash for the table (price TBD), receive a receipt, sign a contract, and be given their table assignment for the weekend.
Tables that are reserved for Guests of Honor that are unable to make it will not be sold until we get the go ahead from their agents.
Staff not associated with Artist Alley will not have information regarding No Show Tables, only the Artist Alley Supervisor is privy to this information. Do not pester these staff.
Artist Alley Archive
We unfortunately do not have access to all previous year participant lists due to Supervisors changing a few times over the years. However, we want to have a place for the lists we do have! Keep in mind that over time Artist studio names and links to portfolios/shops change if you are searching for someone specific.
This excel sheet will house the artist lists in the years we have access to.
One of the great things about Eventeny is it acts as an archive for the Exhibition Hall as long as an event does not get deleted. It has an interactive map of the Hall too!
Search Tekko as a keyword under Events to find all available events, select the event, then select Exhibition Hall.
